I also made these scones. Not too sweet, a little bit tart. Perfect with coffee on an August Saturday morning.
**I didn't have buttermilk so I mixed 1 Cup milk with 1 Tbsp lemon juice and let sit for 5-10 minutes
- Preheat oven to 400*
- Sift dry ingredients in a large bowl
- Cut in butter
- Mix in buttermilk
- Add berries
- Knead to form dough. Form dough into 3-4 inch balls
- Place on lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten slightly
- Bake 15-20 minutes
- Cool on wire rack
*Best served warm
